Visas needing skill Assessment:-
1. General Skilled Migration Visas 
Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) — Points-tested stream
Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
Skilled Work Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 491)
2. Employer-Sponsored visas
Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186)
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187)
3. Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
Certain occupations need to have mandatory skills assessment but it’s not required for all occupations
4. Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)

Why is Skill Assessment Needed?

Skills assessments are a process to test your qualifications and work experience. They provide evidence that you have the skills required to perform the tasks of the role you are applying for.  When you are ready to apply for your visa, having a positive skills assessment already completed will certainly shorten your timeframe before being ready to lodge your visa application.

Validity of Skill Assessment
Skill Assessments are valid for 3 years from their issue date or the expiry date on the assessment
